increasing population of kathmandu valley

kathmandu has been over populated nowadays.20 percentage of the total population lives in the kathmandu valley.people from the 75 district came here to have the settlement for living permanently in search of the betterment.according to the 2058 census there was only population of 20 lakh people living in nepal. but the population has increased to about 70 lakh till 2067. from this we can imagine hoe fast the population is increasing in kathmandu valley which is also the capital of the nepal. due to the over population kathmandu valley is facing different problems like water problem,electricity problem and so on. the building are also been building in a rapid way due to the over population.

Hiv aids (a danger to the developing world population)

it shows no signs of weakening its grip on human society .new epidemics are growing with alarming speed and children continue to be left out of efforts to combat the pandemic .in 2005 the secretary general of the united nations reaffirmed that the only way to achieve the millennium development goals (mdgs) ways to break with business as usual and dramatically accelerate and scale up actions until 2015. This will only be possible if all stakeholders in the fight against HIV/aids work together in partnership.
as the HIV epidemics pursue their course, the social ,economic and demographic impacts of HIV/aids in particularly in the developing world are likely to exacerbate the burden on individuals, communities and countries which will challenge the stability of entire regions.

effects of population change

increase in population will naturally increase the demand for goods and services such as food ,clothes, educational and medical facilities, houses, roads etc. enomous increase in such demands may result in haphazard uses of resources and causes environmental degradation.

causes of high birth rate

lack of education

lack of education especially on reproduction and sex among the married couples or people rise to fatalistic beliefs such as children are the gift of gods. such couple are ignorant of family planning technique and are likely to give birth to a large number of children.

economic aspects
poor parents especially poor farmers regard their children as a source of future income.children may be used for cattle grazing or catering their tiffins in the fields.
